Tell our new Labour MPs: Hands off our Green Spaces

The Dudley Liberal Democrats have a proud record standing up for green spaces across the borough, local residents appreciate the health and wellbeing benefits that access to greenspaces brings. It is a great shame that the new Labour Government seems set to abandon its pledge to protect greenspaces with its pig-headed housing plans which will bizarrely see high growth areas like London be asked to build less, and lower growth areas like Dudley to build more - so much more in fact that there isn't even enough room in the borough to meet the governments new imposed target! This will mean that there is a very real risk that the council's current plan for housing will be invalid, that green spaces previously considered safe from development will need to be considered by the council once again. It is another top-down target that takes no account of local need. Our new Labour MPs must stand up to their own government and demand that they change course. Do you agree?
